The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn held the meeting with the representatives of the Association of Cities of Ukraine to discuss the issues concerning the formation of the local budgets with account for the budget process in Ukraine.
Opening the meeting, V. Lytvyn declared that the negotiations regarding the Budget "are very complicated". The Chairman expressed his principal position that the Budget should be adopted in "more or less acceptable version". "I am searching for the variants to adopt the Budget as it absence is the great obstacle for everything."
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that all the propositions that were produced during the meeting would be taken into the consideration when adopting the Budget.
The meeting was held with the presence of the members of the Ministries on Economics, Finance, Taxation Administration and Customs Service.
